Where will the workshop be in 2022?

The 2022 workshop will be held virtually.  Lectures, workshops, and one-on-one meetings will take place on Zoom.  We also use Slack to share information and hold discussions.

How much is tuition?

Tuition is $2500.  Full payment must be made before the start of the workshop.

Are there scholarships available.

Yes!  We offer need-based scholarships as well as scholarships through partnerships with select universities.

How do I apply for a scholarship?

The scholarship application is in the main application.  Simple include a FAFSA, tax return, or other proof of income along with an optional statement explaining your situation.

I am not a college or graduate student. Can I apply for the workshop?

Yes! Our Workshop Fellows range in age from 21 to 60. We welcome people who are interested in transitioning careers into publishing.

I am still in college.  Can I apply?

College seniors are eligible to apply.  This is a professional program intended to help you launch a career and make connections.  Please apply when you are getting ready to finish your BA/BS or equivalent and looking for a job.

I am a graduate student and I don’t know if I will stay in academia or not. Is this the right program for me?

About 50% of our Fellows have graduate degrees or are working on a Ph.D. Knowledge of the publishing industry can be professionally helpful whether or not you spend your career in academia.  Our alumni include many current Ph.D candidates, professors, researchers, and Ph.Ds who have chosen a career in publishing.
